Valentine

   Legendary Saint(s) and Martyr(s).
   There are two possible St Valentines. One was a priest martyred in the time of the Emperor Claudius and the other was a martyred Bishop of Terni. Today Valentine is one of the best-known saints as his day, 14 February, is traditionally associated with romantic love. Most authorities consider these customs stem from an early spring, pagan festival and have little to do with either of the saints.
